Sales & Customer Service
The Role
Our remote Sales and Customer Service teams are great at what they do, but they can't put a caliper on a spindle or see why a bracket isn't lining up. That’s where you come in. You will handle the high-level technical inquiries that require hands-on interaction with our physical inventory. You’ll bridge the gap between our digital presence and our physical products.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Deep-Dives: Answer complex customer inquiries regarding installation challenges, specific part dimensions, and fitment nuances.
Quality Control (QC): Work with the Product Team to inspect incoming inventory to ensure it meets our strict standards before it hits the shelves.
Returns Mastery: Inspect returned parts to determine if they were installed, damaged, or are eligible for restocking.
Precision Measurement: Pull parts from the warehouse to get exact measurements (using calipers, micrometers, etc.) to satisfy specific customer "build" requirements.
Internal Knowledge Base: Serve as a technical resource for the sales team to help them close difficult sales with 100% accuracy.
Why You’ll Love It
Variety: No two days are the same. One hour you’re measuring a disc brake kit, the next you’re helping a customer troubleshoot a suspension geometry issue.
The Environment: You’ll be surrounded by fellow car enthusiasts in a facility that lives and breathes automotive history.
The Impact: You are the gatekeeper of our quality and the hero for customers who are stuck on their own "dream builds."
*To all recruitment agencies: Kanter Auto does not accept agency resumes. Please do not forward resumes to our jobs alias, Kanter Auto employees or any other company location. Kanter Auto is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes*.
We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
The "Line in the Sand" (Requirements)
We are very specific about who we are looking for. Please read these carefully before applying:
The Restoration Rule: You MUST have personally completed at least one major restoration project on a vintage car. We’re talking frame-off, engine-out, "I spent six months finding this specific bolt" kind of experience.
What Doesn't Count: Simply "growing up in a car family," doing oil changes and brake jobs on your daily driver, or working exclusively on modern, OBD-II-heavy cars is not sufficient for this role. You need to understand the quirks of vintage automotive engineering.
Computer Literacy: You must be extremely comfortable with modern digital tools and platforms This means typing 60+ WPM and communicating via email and fast-paced chat environments. If you hunt-and-peck on a keyboard, this isn't the role for you.
Communication: You must be able to translate complex mechanical concepts into clear, concise written instructions for customers and coworkers.
