We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a strong background in the aftermarket automotive industry and a proven track record in sales leadership. This role is a senior leadership position and requires prior sales management or supervisory experience, along with the ability to drive revenue growth, manage key B2B accounts, and oversee sales operations. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, strategic sales expertise, and the leadership skills to develop and manage a high-performing sales team. Candidates without automotive industry experience or previous sales management responsibilities will not be considered.
Job Duty Overview: This role includes developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and enterprise clients. The Sales Manager will also lead a small sales team, optimize sales processes, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless operations. While supporting marketing initiatives, the primary focus will be on sales execution, account management, and revenue expansion. This position requires traveling to trade shows and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet revenue and market expansion goals.
Manage existing accounts and develop new business with aftermarket performance brands, retailers, and distributors.
Identify and engage high-value B2B customers, including large enterprise accounts and Tier One suppliers.
Negotiate and close deals with a focus on long-term customer relationships.
Track and analyze sales data to adjust strategies, optimize pricing models, and forecast revenue.
Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to customer onboarding and post-sale support.
Work closely with the leadership team to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.
Sales Operations & Customer Support:
Oversee daily sales operations, including order processing, customer service, and account management.
Establish and enforce customer service policies to ensure a positive client experience.
Monitor inventory levels and work with logistics and production teams to meet customer demands.
Handle customer escalations, returns, and dispute resolutions efficiently.
Marketing Assistance & Brand Development:
Work with the marketing team to develop campaigns that support sales objectives.
Provide input on social media strategies, promotions, and product launches to enhance market presence.
Stay informed on competitor activities and industry trends to refine sales positioning.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a small sales team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
Provide mentorship and coaching to improve team effectiveness and productivity.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in sales within the automotive aftermarket or OEM sector.
Strong B2B sales expertise, including account management and deal negotiations.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Data-driven approach to sales forecasting, CRM management, and reporting.
Experience managing distributors, dealers, and retail channels is highly preferred.
Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance teams.
Able to travel for trade shows, client meetings, and industry events.
