Job Duty Overview: The Business Development Manager at Anderson Composites will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding Tier One OEM accounts, and strengthening the brand's presence in the market. This individual will spearhead business development initiatives, cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, and oversee strategic planning to achieve sales objectives. The role will also include leadership responsibilities, marketing strategy input, and the enhancement of internal operations related to sales and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
Oversee channel development and establish sales forecasts as well as sales strategy to achieve corporate sales goals.
Drive new business development with a focus on Tier One OEM accounts and key aftermarket performance brands.
Establish and maintain relationships with Tier One OEM accounts (e.g., Ford/GM/Dodge), OEM aftermarket accounts (e.g., Ford Performance/Chevrolet Performance/MOPAR), and major aftermarket performance brands in different product categories (tires, wheels, suspension, exhaust, brakes, etc.)
Identify, prospect, and close deals with large enterprise accounts.
Analyze market trends and customer needs to create targeted sales strategies.
Deliver sales presentations to key clients and negotiate terms to close high-value deals.
Prepare periodic sales reports to evaluate sales volume, potential opportunities, and client base expansion.
Participate and manage daily sales activities, including order generation and customer service.
Marketing:
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns that align with sales objectives and promote brand credibility and desirability.
Leverage social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and engagement and to foster brand loyalty.
Proactively manage the brand's online reputation, responding to customer feedback and handling any crises with tact and sensitivity
Monitor and evaluate competitor activities and products to adjust strategies as needed.
Supervise advertising efforts, events, and product launches to maintain brand consistency.
Provide insights to product research and development to align with market demands.
Operational Support:
Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to enhance team effectiveness.
Coordinate sales operations with other departments, including marketing, logistics, accounting, and product development.
Establish customer service guidelines and oversee return authorization procedures.
Assist with R&D projects through various stages of product development.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervise 3-5 employees in the Sales and Marketing Department, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
Work Environment: This role is based at our Corporate Headquarters in City of Industry, CA. Monthly weekend travel for industry events is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Considerable experience in the automotive aftermarket and/or OEM market.
Proven track record of success in business development and sales, particularly with Tier One OEM accounts and major aftermarket brands.
Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a collaborative team approach.
Creativity and innovation in developing brand concepts and campaigns.
Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and consistently drive innovative sales strategies.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel monthly for events and client meetings.
