GrimmSpeed is looking for it's next product development enthusiast to join our team as an Advanced Sourcing Manager - Proprietary Brands. 

The Advanced Sourcing Manager is responsible for providing all support as it relates to external suppliers for New Product Development within the Proprietary Brands Group.  Focus on supplier innovation, quality, delivery, and cost throughout the stage-gate process will help assure successful product launches.  As an active member on multiple project teams, this role works closely with team members for the selection, evaluation, and qualification process of material suppliers for new products.  This position reports to the Director of Operations for Proprietary Brands. 

Where you’ll spend your time:

• Managing multiple projects to assure material for new products will meet timing and cost constraints of program
• Assess suppliers’ quality and ensure conformance to standards
• Facilitating technical and commercial communication between suppliers and project team to improve quality, time to market, and cost
• Serve as the Supplier Capability subject matter expert (SME), linking supplier capabilities to business needs
• Perform cost analysis to drive lowest total cost of acquisition, leading efforts to reduce cost through competitive bidding and negotiating terms and conditions
• Provide guidance to Product Design team in terms of supplier and component selection to ensure an optimized time to market, reduced supply risks, and product quality gets built into the new product design upfront
• Responsible for RFQ, benchmarking and negotiations, develop and manage an accurate costed BoM and communicate variances during development process
• Ensure seamless transition of sourcing assignments at new product launches to internal Purchasing Managers, production buyers and planners
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and compliance activities within prescribed area to include, but not limited to: Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO standards (if applicable), safety and OSHA regulations, affirmative action guidelines, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) practices
• Other duties as assigned.

You have / possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field
• 5 years’ experience in New Product Development support, vendor negotiations, purchasing and/or “quality” functions preferably in the automotive aftermarket industry
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time required
• Proven experience developing, negotiating, and implementing commercial contracts to include supply and quality agreements
• Expertise working in a cross-functional, highly matrixed, multiple stakeholder environment
• Supply Chain certification or training is desired

• Technically savvy with intermediate to advanced proficiency utilizing MS office suite
