Summary: Responsible for removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, disassembling and assembling damper parts and components. Understands shock design and operation. Possesses working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Analyze shock performance • Collect, interpret and analyze complex data and information • Repair damper and shock components • Assist in resolving design problems • Assess and perform required damper setup • Review and analyze damper specifications • Perform testing and complete any necessary documentation • Interface with appropriate departments to ensure design specifications meet or exceed all applicable regulatory standards of safety • Interface with outside vendors as necessary • Assist in transition from engineering to manufacturing • Assist with preparation and modification of installation instructions as needed
Qualifications: • Degree in related field or equivalent experience • 1-3 years' experience in damper/shock research and development preferred • Automotive experience required • Possess working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts and practices of automotive suspension • Proficient in reviewing SolidWorks drawings • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan and organize projects • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
