To manage all daily site operations of the SDC including the Data Lab, membership team and eBusiness/development and staff. Additionally, to act as liaison to the SEMA Data Co-op Board, the SEMA VP of OEM and Product Development Programs, with full reporting responsibility and business performance accountability to the VP of OEM and Product Development Programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY
Oversee the SDC’s business operations and execution including technology development plans, service model and sales membership interaction.
Ensure that SDC technology solutions meet the needs of membership and are compliant with the latest industry data standards.
Create and maintain annual budget and growth forecasts, with full P&L responsibility.
Oversee all SDC department leaders in the execution of their responsibilities, providing business insight and guidance as required.
Responsible for overseeing member education and on-boarding activities. Manage team that is the point-of-contact for member inquiries.
Attend industry events (e.g., SEMA show, PRI, etc.) where education, recruitment and retention is a primary focus as required.
Responsible for coordination of activities between SDC members and technical services. To include but not limited to implementing new SDC technical solutions as developed by the Director of ebusiness.
Effectively report to the SDC Board of Directors the status, progress and goals of the SDC at each quarterly Board meeting, or at any time called upon.
Conduct SDC strategy meetings as required and report activity of the SDC team, outline challenges, accomplishments and goals.
When directed by the SEMA VP of OEM Product Development Programs, perform other assignments and duties as required.

Represents SDC in all matters of Member Support
Interacts with SEMA Manufacturers and resellers
PRIMARY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
A four-year degree in Business and/or 10 years of experience in Business Management and e-Business, preferably in the automotive industry
Effective supervision, team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook, excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong financial management to include understanding of budget processes, planning, execution, accounting practices, P&L
Broad understanding of current commonly used technology applications
Critical thinker, able to sort through complex business issues to develop research plans
Project management experience and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to translate data into a clear, compelling business recommendation. Analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively deal with team members in multiple locations and individuals in different departments
Knowledge of the automotive aftermarket and an understanding of e-Business requirements as they apply to the industry
Strong customer service and staff management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and association management software
