We are currently seeking a talented, hands-on Marketing Manager with strong organizational and administrative skills to ensure that our marketing department continues to achieve daily objectives.
The ideal candidate must be a strong ‘pitch person’ who can build, sell, and executive multi-faceted marketing programs while building positive business relationships with our manufacturer partners. Proven sales, relationship building, and organizational skills are highly favored over creative ability in this role.
This highly visible company role will entail the following duties on a regular basis:
High capacity to “do” tasks and make sure staff of 2-3 are achieving their tasks
Manage work flow and scheduling of daily, monthly, and quarterly marketing activities
Coach and provide immediate feedback to your team
Ability to create and present marketing proposals to both internal stakeholders and manufacturer partners and then implement you plans to meet agreed upon objectives
Ongoing formulation of what the company needs to be doing in the marketplace to build our company brand and image
Manage and coordinate trade show events
Manage our social media presence, search engine results, ongoing administration and development of company website and daily graphic design concepts for online and print ads with outside agency support
Complete hands-on marketing tasks such as media buys, spreadsheet creation, writing project plans, writing and editing copy, etc.
Work with vendors to ensure all deadlines (promotion, print, production, etc.) are met
Negotiate media and manufacturer agreements
Coordinate and complete market research efforts in support of strategic projects
Create and manage a yearly advertising budget to include tracking and using co-op advertising spend
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR/Communications or Business Management/Business Administration with 3-5 years of experience REQUIRED
Basic understanding of automotive parts desired
Excellent organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
Proven ability to oversee all marketing, advertising and promotional staff activities
Advance PC skills and experience with Microsoft applications required
CRM experience preferred
Must be self-directed and have the ongoing initiative to keep things moving
Must be able to confidently pitch marketing programs to internal stakeholders and external partners
Must have a natural ability to follow-up and close projects
This is a temp/contract to hire position.
