The role is a Management position with the responsibility of organizing business operations in relation to Motorsports Sales, Engineering, Production, Service and Support. In addition to the management responsibility, you will be creating and implementing a strategy to deliver sales, EBIT and brand exposure within fragmented motorsports segments of oval track, sprint, drag modifieds, sports car, stock car, late model, legends…etc. Continued market share growth along with profitable sales will be a high priority. The Head of Motorsports shall be able to motivate, develop and guide the Motorsports staff of the company to achieve the expected growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and lead the Motorsports team, providing managerial and technical direction.
Ensure all applicable company policies/procedures are implemented and followed.
Create and lead our internal process to ensure it follows the organizational strategy, roadmap and priorities.
Prioritize and develop focus on areas of opportunity within the market.
Responsible for creating annual budgets for the department.
Negotiation of customer and sanctioning body proposals, contracts and quotations.
Oversee and direct a product development strategy which will position Bilstein as a market leader.
Forecast an accurate supply/demand relationship of our products to result in sufficient inventory to satisfy customer demand.
Plan a schedule of race support and attendance, which supports our racers, sponsors and customers.
Work in close cooperation with the Marketing department to develop marketing materials.
Active cooperation with the global Motorsports Team and all support functionsas well as securing that the Vision, Mission and Business strategy are implemented and followed in the organization.
Frequent traveling is required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 10 years related Motorsports experience
Well documented sales and budget achievements
Demonstrated superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Must have the ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Experience and prior involvement in technical sales?
Ability to assess and resolve complex and sensitive business situations
Excellent negotiation skills
Experience of working in an International environment
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
